Through funding from the US-CDC, CCCRN partnered with regulatory agencies and pre-service health training institutions to improve training infrastructure, review curricula, leverage technology, and build the capacity of tutors to deliver competency-based training for infectious diseases of interest in 13 Schools of Nursing and Colleges of Health Technology in Enugu, Imo, and Ebonyi States. More than 3,000 undergraduates were trained by the end of the project, while the strengthened training systems continued to benefit students afterwards.
